WORKSHOP TRACKS AND SESSIONS -- DRAFT DEC 11, 2009
Participation: Six tracks are envisioned with 20 to 40 persons in each track. Registrants will
be encouraged to enroll in ONE track in order to focus their experience and the discussions that define an
agenda for local application or PRAXIS for the next twelve months in that specific area. (Also: EACH workshop session
will define and explore resources and technologies available for background study and preparation for the team
and participants.)
Proposed Leadership:
1. One Workshop Leader in each of the 4 sessions of each track will be expected to make a 20
minute presentation at the outset of each track session to set the tone and direction;
2. A Second person will then facilitate the discussions following the presentations
3. The Track Team will be responsible for shaping the track
(NOTE: The leadership pools cited below come from
recommendations and will need to be confirmed.)
Methodology:
1. Discussions will focus on setting the agenda for local communities and institutions represented by the participants.
2. Where possible, these discussions should define strategy with measurable objectives
that can be reported to others beyond the symposium participants
3. The final session of each track should focus on identifying the 10 major strategic directions.
(NOTE: Exact titles of the workshop sessions and selected presentations will be
finalized by the leadership team in each track).
